Water World
If you are not familiar with Water World you should be! Water World is located just off of 84th and I-25 and is the place to be during the summer months! Not only is the water park HUGE (there is a gondola attraction to take you from one side to the other if you don’t want to walk), there are also dozens of rides for little ones all the way up to the thrill seekers in your family. Also-make sure you do not miss out on the gigantic ice cream cookie sandwiches located near the entrance. They are AMAZING.
Rockie’s games
Ok-so the Rockie’s may not have the best record but the games are fun to go to even if you are not planning on watching. There is a great roof-top bar that not only offers great views but also yummy food and drink. There are also rockpile tickets for super cheap if you are looking for something to do in Denver on a budget. Be sure to look for the purple stripe of seats going around the stadium-they represent exactly one mile above sea level!
Red Rocks Amphitheater
If you are not a local and do not know what Red Rocks’ is, be prepared for some shocked faces. Red Rocks is a hidden gem in Morrison, Colorado. The huge rocks create a natural amphitheater that is truly hard to fathom until you have seen it. During the day the steps are a fitness junkie’s paradise but it is in the evenings that the amphitheater really comes alive. Concerts are truly magical at Red Rocks! Just trust us-you have to go!
