Click and Haul
If you are looking to tackle a remodel or just get rid of some large trash around your house, Thornton is now offering “Click and Haul Online Registration”. It’s simple to get started. You sign up online and book when you want your hauling to take place. Eligible items for pick up include old furniture, mattresses, branches, remodeling debris, etc. A flat rate will get you 6 cubic yards of waste. If you go over the allotted amount your price will go up.
If you need more than one day to go through the trash around your home or a larger dumpster Affordable Roll-Offs would love to drop off a dumpster and pick it up when YOU are done.
Trash Delay Schedule 2020
Trash and recycling collection will be delayed one day on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day, January 1
- Memorial Day, May 25
- Labor Day, September 7
- Thanksgiving Day, November 26
- Christmas Day, December 25
Composting in Thornton
Composting seems to be all the rage in 2020, and for good reason. Not only is composting good for the environment, it is also easy to do! Thornton is offering tree branch and limb recycling for residents through out 2020. For more information about the location and dates, please see the City of Thornton Website.
Tree Branch/Limb Drop-Off
If you have a pile of old, broken tree limbs and branches in your backyard the city of Thornton is offering a location to get them out of your hair. On April 14, May 12, June 9, July 14, August 11, September 8, you can stop by Thornton’s Infrastructure Maintenance Center. Please bring a proof of residency.
Moving Boxes Collection
Thornton offers residents an option to have their moving boxes collected. New residents must call to schedule a pick up date at 720-977-6200. Boxes must be flattened and bundled for pick-up. For more information see the flyer.
